In Kharkov, a joint pilot project of the Department of Registration of the Kharkov City Council and the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Kharkov region was launched.
According to Oleg Drobot, Director of the Department of Registration of the Kharkov City Council, you can now apply for registration of a newborn child's place of residence in the civil registration offices. At the same time, the procedure for processing documents takes one day.
"According to the law, this interaction between the Registry office and the Registration Department should take place during a month, and within a month we must provide such a certificate for issuance to its young parents, but then the effectiveness of this service would be reduced to zero. That is why my colleagues and I have worked out such a mechanism that allows us to receive documents directly on the day of the parents' appeal to the Registry office, and the next day a ready certificate of registration of the place of residence is transferred to the relevant district civil registration office. As a result, parents take away two ready-made documents - a birth certificate and a certificate of registration of their child's place of residence in the department of the Registry office, "Oleg Drobot noted.
Also Oleg Drobot reminded that it is possible to register documents on registration of a newborn child's place of residence directly in the hospital, while parents also receive the corresponding document simultaneously with the birth certificate.
To register the place of residence of a newborn child, parents must apply and pay an administrative fee of UAH 13.6. If the parents are registered at different addresses, the second parent must give written consent to register the child's place of residence in the presence of a Registry office employee. If parents live at the same address - consent is not required.
